Law Schools Compete to End Hunger Outside the Classroom

The Office of the Attorney General, the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia, and the Georgia Food Bank Association have joined forces to create a friendly, virtual fundraising competition among Georgia law schools: The Law School Food Frenzy. This fundraiser is an extension of the Georgia Legal Food Frenzy, but unlike that fundraising competition, this one only consists of law schools throughout the state of Georgia and is four weeks long.

For 11 years, law schools across the state have teamed up with the Georgia Food Bank Association to end hunger in Georgia. Georgia’s food banks work through a network of nearly 2,000 partner agencies and organizations to distribute over 205 million pounds of food annually to Georgians who need it the most.

The Law School Food Frenzy comes at a critical time for the food banks. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Georgia’s food banks have been working nonstop to support the highest demand for food assistance that our network has ever experienced. Our food banks are working hard to meet an increase in demand for food assistance since March 2020.

Help us stop hunger in its tracks this year by fundraising for the Law School Food Frenzy!
